I followed the bed in procedures to a T on both sets of Hawk HPS pads and they felt awesome afterward. Plenty of low temp bite, a good linear grip and no noise nor excessive dust. But then you start driving around. And as soon as you start using mild pressure on the brakes, coming up to a light or etc, the bite goes away. They become unresponsive and wooden. Only a stomp from 70+ regains any bite or feedback. If that's a temperature or pressure issue it's kind of a moot point in terms of everyday performance because they just don't deliver. I do like the Axxis (PBR semi-metallic) pads on other cars, I've run them on my Sentra for years, and they provide good, consistent bite for daily driving. I have a set for the Z when they burn through this set of Hawk pads but I do note that they don't like getting hot, as noted from autocrossing the Sentra.
